    Michael Oglesby

    MSgt Michael Oglesby is retired from the United States Marine Corps Reserves and Federal Bureau of Investigation.

    From 2008 until his retirement from the United States Marine Corps in 2011, MSgt Oglesby served as the Marine Corps Operations Chief, National Military Command Center which served to provide critical and strategic information to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff in his role he advised both the Secretary of Defense and the President.

    MSgt Oglesby also served as a Marine Security Guard at American embassies in Moscow, Russia, Belgrade, Yugoslavia, and Kinston, Jamaica. Some of the responsibilities were to safeguard diplomatic personnel and classified information and to control access within U.S. embassies.

    MSgt served two (2) tours as part of the Marine Corps 26th Maine Expeditionary Unit capable in the Mediterranean which provided commanders a forward presence in the event of any crisis in Africa, Middle East, and Southeast Asia region.

    Mr. Oglesby most recently served as an Investigative Specialist and Personnel Security Specialist with the Federal Bureau of Investigation. In this role, he was responsible for conducting counterintelligence and counter terrorism surveillance and background checks, which included personnel security interviews.

    A graduate of Saint Leo University, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice. His combined military and federal law enforcement education includes Senior Marine Corps Leadership Academy: Marine Security Guard; Surveillance and Counter- intelligence; FBI Academy

    MSG (Ret) Baisden was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee to the proud parents of late Private First Class CB (Korean War Veteran) RIP and Mrs. Lessie (RIP) Reeves but grew up here in Atlanta, Georgia and is a 1986 proud graduate of West Fulton High School. During her senior year she enlisted into the United States Army through the delayed entry program on April 10, 1986 and upon graduating was shipped to basic training at Fort McClellan, Alabama to start her career as 71L Administrative Specialist. She then went on to obtain two (2) additional military occupation skills 92Y Supply Specialist and 79S Retention NCO and has held a multitude of key leadership position across the world and she currently has thirty years of faithful and dedicated service to God, Country and Community. MSG (Ret) Baisden will officially retire on August 25, 2027.

    Her first assignment was with the 449th Theater Support Battalion in Jonesboro, Georgia. Her next assignments include: 81st ARCOM East Point, Georgia where she was by name requested to work for the General as his assistant secretary; from there she went on to the 3/347th Training Support Battalion located at Fort Gillem, Georgia as an Logistic Planning Administrative Coordinator for a team of 32 military personnel; then to the 87th Training Division Birmingham, Alabama as Retention Inspector for four (4) Battalions; 3/345th Combat Support/Combat Staff Support Training Battalion Fort Gillem as an Observer Controller; 87th Regional Support Group East Birmingham, Alabama as Mobilization Specialist; Federal Emergency Management Agency Region IV 5th Army Atlanta, Georgia as a Regional Emergency Preparedness Liaison Officer as their Non- Commission Officer In Charge of disaster deployment of personal and equipment; one deployment tour with Combined Special Forces Operations Component Command- Afghanistan Kabul Afghanistan as the General Administrative Assistant; Pentagon Washington DC as Mobilization Specialist.     Derek Johnson, originally from Fort Worth Texas and currently residing in the Fairfax County. He is working within SAIC as a Senior Human Capital Spec/Program Manager in workforce planning, recruiting, and talent management. He continues to provide mentorship and coaching to veterans, retirees and those that will seek opportunities to work in the government and private sector.

    Derek is retired from the United States Army with over 30 years of experience in the human resources career fields.     Eddie D.J. Baisden is the first-born son of father Eddie James and Mother Patricia Baisden in February of 88′. He excelled in science and math early in life and attend accelerated programs through high school. Eddie graduated from Forest Park Senior High School with one of the highest GPA of his class.

    In the pursuit of family military history, Eddie joined the United States Army Infantry and became a third-generation soldier following in the footsteps of grandfather Private First Class C.B. Reeves Korean War Veteran and mother Master Sergeant (Ret) Patricia Baisden Bronze Star Afghanistan War Disabled Veteran. Attending Fort Benning, Georgia for both basic training and advance individual training, he found himself amongst kindred souls from all walks of life. His military career continued in Killeen, Texas where he served in the 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment in 2011 to 2012. The love of science and health studies led Private Frist Class Baisden to take the EMT training so that he could pursue becoming one of the platoons’ combat medics. Although his service time was short his natural desire to help and aid others continued.

    After services Eddie continued his education at Atlanta Metropolitan State College in Atlanta, Georgia majoring in Pre-Nursing. During college he was recognized for his leadership and achievements. He founded Principals of Fitness for those pursuing health and wellness where he trained students on the campus for free after studies. Recognized by the Dean of Sciences Department he began serving as Teachers Assistant and Pre-Mat proctor for the duration of his studies.

    After college Eddie continued training retired Veterans helping to rehabilitate services related injuries that led to systemic decline of other muscles systems. He lived by the motto “If you struggle, I’ll struggle with you, so that we can rightfully celebrate your success together.”

    He currently works in the aviation and seeks to travel the world with his daughter. Again, pursuing education with Trident University for a BS in Homeland Security with a concentration in cybersecurity. With newfound focus Eddie expresses interests in joining the Department of Homeland Security as a Customs and Boarder Protection Officer.

    Nathan M. Banks, Sr. previously work for The Department of Justice (DOJ) as the Public Information Officer for The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF).

    Banks is a highly experienced public relations professional dedicated to helping guide companies through strategic communication initiatives, crisis management, and community outreach at national and local levels.

    With over 30 years of experience in public affairs, Banks has handled numerous high- profile communication initiatives, including the Hurricane Katrina aftermath, the Fort Hood, Texas, tragedy in 2009, and three Medal of Honor ceremonies at the White House, among many others. He is especially adept at handling high-profile media events and has often taken the lead role when there is no leeway for failure.

    Banks was the Chief of National Outreach for the Office of the Chief, Army Reserve. He established partnerships with military and veteran service organizations to coordinate information and outreach efforts. Banks led several key partnership events, including the Association of United States Army conventions, the National Urban League Conference, the National Disaster Conference, Army Birthday Celebrations, and numerous NFL, MLB, and NBA events.

    Before joining the Office of the Chief, Army Reserve, Banks served as a media relations specialist with the U.S. Army Office of the Chief of Public Affairs. He served as an official U.S. Army spokesperson. During his rotation at the Pentagon, he was selected for the U.S. Army’s highly competitive Training with Industry (TWI) Program. During his TWI stint, he worked in the New York City offices of Fleishman-Hillard, one of the leading P.R. agencies in the industry, where he performed the functions of a senior account manager with distinction. While serving in the military, Banks was deployed several times in a lead-public affairs role.

    He served as the Chief of Outreach at the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) in Kabul, Afghanistan; as the Public Affairs Director in Amman, Jordan; and as the Public Affairs Officer for the Multi-National Security Transition Command-Iraq (MNSTC-I). He also deployed in a public affairs support capacity to the Combined Joint Special Operation Task Force at Camp Butmir in Sarajevo, Bosnia, and the Hurricane Mitch recovery efforts with U.S. Southern Command in Honduras.

    Banks holds a B.A. in Communications from the University of Kentucky, an MBA in Global Management from the University of Phoenix, and an M.S. in Integrated Marketing Communications from West Virginia University Banks serves on the Southern Crescent Veteran Services Inc. board and is a Life member of Kappa Alpha Psi Inc.

    Sergeant Major (SGM) Phillip Chancler was born in Anderson, South Carolina to the very proud parents of the late James E Bell (RIP) and living Ms. Shirley M. Chancler. He is a proud 1984 graduate of T. L. Hanna High School, also the school of the late Chadwick Boseman (Black Panther) who attended and graduated there in 1994. In July 1984, SGM Chancler enlisted in the South Carolina National Guard and shipped to Fort McClellan, Alabama to start his career as 31K Communications Operator.

    SGM Chancler then relocated to Houston, Texas in 1991 to pursue better opportunities and transferred to the Texas National Guard. In 1999 he transfers from National Guards to the Texas Army Reserves and obtain three (3) additional military occupational skills (MOS) 25U Signal Communications Operator, 92Z Senior Logistics Operator, and 3C Government Contract Operator and has held an multitude of key leadership positions across the world and he currently has thirty-eight (38) years of faithful and dedicated service to God, Country, and Community. SGM Chancler will officially hang up his unform and retire on March 26, 2026.

    His first assignment as a Master Sergeant was with First Army in Fort Hood, Texas His ongoing assignment include: USFOR-A Support Command in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (Afghanistan), as the Entry Control Point NCOIC for the 3 star General, from there back to USFOR-A Support Command as the Mayor Cell NCOIC in RC-East Afghanistan, FOB Mayor NCOIC in RC-West, FOB Mayor of Herat Afghanistan. Picking up next rank of Sergeant Major and serve as the Logistics Advise and Assist Sergeant Major deployed in IRAQ, and Support of Operations Sergeant Major deployed in Camp Arifjan Kuwait, Observer Controller at North Fort Hood, Texas.

    Sergeant Major Chancler has (2) degrees the first in Associate of Science in Business Management from Ashworth College in Norcross Georgia; second.     Craig Sterrette is a native of Baltimore, Maryland

    Craig Sterrette is recently retired from the United States Army after serving 29 years on active duty. He currently serves as an associate minister and church administrator at Northeast Bible Restoration Church in El Paso, Texas. Additionally, he serves as the VP of the Board of Directors for Writing for Therapy, a non-profit organization established by Dr Margaret Brown headquartered in Fayetteville, NC and as the Deputy Director for the State of Texas, Southern Crescent Veterans Services Inc.

    Craig’s formal education includes a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Management (Webster University), Bachelor of Arts Degree in Leadership & Workforce Development (US Army Command & General Staff College), Master of Art in Ministry (Gobal Bible University) and a Master of Art in Management & Leadership (Webster University).

    Charles B. Lane II Lane was born in Chicago IL and reared in Jacksonville FL. Charles attained his BS in General Engineering, from West Point and his Master’s in International Relations from Troy State University. His first duty assignment was as a Bradley Platoon Leader in Kitzingen, Germany. His follow-on assignments at Fort Bragg NC included Company Commander (2-504 PIR), Commander (Airborne Leadership School), and Detachment Commander with the 4th Psychological Operations Group (Special Operations).

    His last active duty assignment was with First Army HQs (Fort Gillem, GA) in 2007 as the Afghanistan Team Chief.

    As a 22 year veteran, Charles participated in Desert Shield, Desert Storm, the Military Intervention in Haiti, and various operations in the Middle East. He was distinguished as an Honorary Knight for his service to the United Nations and the Government of Haiti. After retiring from Civil Service in 2021, he now resides in Atlanta, GA with his wife, Lina, and 7 children.

    Lieutenant Sherrie Gilbert-Ramsey currently serves as the Community Affairs Coordinator, Special Events Manager, and leads the part-time officer program.

    She started her career in public service in the United States Army. Lt. Gilbert-Ramsey has over 24 years of Law Enforcement experience and began her Law Enforcement career as a Corrections Officer with the Georgia Department of Corrections.

    Prior to joining Stockbridge Police Department, she served with the Thomasville Police Department in various roles and assisted in implementing the Department’s first Community Relations Team.

    Lt. Gilbert-Ramsey also worked for the DeKalb Schools Police Department where she served as a Supervisor, Accreditation Manager and Crisis Intervention Team Coordinator.

    She also worked with the Department of Juvenile Justice in the Office of Professional Development and Standards as a Public Safety Regional Training Coordinator and Supervisor.

    Lt. Gilbert-Ramsey has a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice and a Master of Science degree in Community Counseling.

    In addition to being an officer, Lt. Gilbert-Ramsey is also a Licensed Professional Counselor/Psychotherapist.

    My name is Alecia Major, and I was born in Phenix City, AL and raised in Columbus, GA.

    I served in the United States Air Force for three (3) years at Nellis Air Force Base and one (1) short tour at Kunsan K-8 Air Base in South Korea.

    I am currently a single mother pursuing my nursing degree at Columbus State University. When I am not doing things for myself or at practices/games for my son, I am an assist coach my former high school’s softball team. I am also the PTO President of my son’s school.

    I enjoy traveling and trying new things!!
